What Is Nourishing Movements?

Nourishing Movements is a storytelling and preservation project that honors Black movement leaders in the Bay Area and Los Angeles. This initiative captures their stories, explores the role of food in their work, and preserves their legacy for future generations.

How the Project Works

  • Nominate a leader who has impacted social justice or community work.

  • Selected leaders will participate in interviews and share their stories, significant meals, and artifacts.

  • Stories, recipes, and photography will be featured in a digital cookbook and public exhibition.
