Chef Akeem
Abel Akeem Palacio is a Chef and Bay Area Native (San Pablo, California). With nearly 15 years of cooking experience, his love for food started at a very young age. He has spent the past 9 years as a professional chef in kitchens all over the world. Chef Akeem's passion for food and cooking spans the gamut. He has cooked in hostel kitchens in Southeast Asia to fine dining establishments in South Africa. Most recently, he worked as a Chef on a Mississippi river cruise where he was able to sharpen and broaden his knowledge of southern cuisines. When facilitating learning experiences, his goal is to express his love for food while making Gastronomy exploration more accessible. With this in mind, Chef Akeem wants participants to leave with the confidence to recreate the meal and venture out to try other dishes on their own.
