There are many we call the “life of the party,” but few embody the “life of living.” That was Lorraine, Rain, Aunt Rain and Ma. She was the life; she brought energy to living, and that beautiful energy attracted people to her. She was always going to see someone - coming from meeting someone else - waiting for someone to come around—especially family. She made you feel like your life was worth living, and she was so damn proud of you for living it.

It is with an abundance of joyful memories and deep sorrow that we prepare to commemorate her life and transition from this world.

In addition to those who loved Lorraine, many of you also loved her beautiful family.

Lorraine is survived by her beloved son, Maurice D. Wilkins; her devoted sister, Denise Jones, and brother-in-law, Max Jones; her dear aunt, Helen Dickerson-Sutton; her Step-Father Wilford Taylor; her treasured nieces and nephews: Kanesha Bullock, Iyanna, Immanuel, and Wynston Jones, Imorie Alexander, and Demetrius McKnight and step-children Shirley Turner and Leroy Burrell. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Lorraine Taylor and John Monte, and her first cousin, Randolph Dickerson.
